What Medicines Does the Hospital Pharmacy Stock?
The in-house pharmacy stocks every drug that our doctors prefer to prescribe in OPD & IPD. Our hospital pharmacy is fully stocked with all the medicines, surgical items, and consumables prescribed by our consultants for your treatment and wellness procedures in our Krishna Super Specialty Hospital.
Who Can Buy from the Hospital Pharmacy?
Any one who has the valid prescription from our Physician or Consultant Doctor can buy medicine from our licensed pharmacy.
You can buy medicines and consumables that have been prescribed to you or your loved one who is admitted to our hospital. The Outpatients can purchase prescribed medicines from the hospital’s Outpatient Department (OPD) pharmacy.
Can anyone Buy Medicines from the Hospital Pharmacy without a Prescription?
We do not sell medicines without a valid prescription.
The Drugs and Cosmetics Rules, 1945 prohibits us from selling medicines without a prescription to prevent misuse of drugs.
Our pharmacy will refuse to re-fill prescriptions for certain class of drugs if we believe that the prescription is outdated. This is for the patient’s safety because certain narcotics and psychotropic drugs are habit-forming. On the other hand, some potent antibiotics can harm you if you continue taking them for longer than the duration advised by your doctor. Always remember that your doctor is the best judge to evaluate do duration for each medicine usage.
We also do not sell certain classes of medicines, such as anti-anxiety drugs that tend to induce sleep, over and above the quantity mentioned by your doctor in the prescription.
